Why Remove Nitrates?
Nitrates commonly enter water supplies through agricultural runoff, fertilizers, septic systems, and groundwater contamination. Because nitrates are colorless, odorless, and tasteless, water testing is often the only way to determine their presence.

Important Maintenance Information
The nitrate reduction cartridge requires periodic regeneration to maintain optimal performance. Regeneration frequency typically depends on nitrate concentration and water usage, but is commonly performed every 20–30 days. The simple regeneration process uses a saltwater solution to recharge the nitrate-selective media and extend cartridge life.
