Installation and water planning

Source water

  • Operating pH range of 6.5 to 10.
  • Test the source water before sizing the treatment plan.
  • If the source water is below pH 6.5, confirm suitability before ordering

Installation location

  • Install on the main water supply line.
  • Confirm adequate space for the selected tank and future service.
  • Use a qualified plumber if you are not comfortable modifying the main supply line.

Electrical grounding

Installing the system in electrically conductive copper or galvanized plumbing can interrupt grounding continuity. The manual directs installers to use an approved conductive bypass or grounding jumper in accordance with applicable codes.

Final pH adjustment

The top bypass or shutoff can blend treated and untreated water to help adjust the final pH. Follow the model manual and verify the result with water testing after installation.
