Airpura R400 air purifier for everyday home air quality

The Airpura R400 Everyday Air Purifier is a compact, freestanding room air cleaner for common household particles, odors, and airborne chemicals. Its combination of an 8 lb activated-carbon filter and H13 True HEPA filtration makes it a practical choice when you want balanced particle and odor control without the footprint of a full-size 700 Series unit.

Best suited for: bedrooms, living rooms, apartments, home offices, waiting rooms, and other spaces up to 1,000 sq. ft. when sized at two air changes per hour with 8 ft. ceilings.

What this air purifier is used for

Use the R400 for everyday indoor air concerns including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, household odors, and chemicals released by cleaners, furnishings, and normal household activities.

Where to place it

Place this portable Airpura purifier on the floor in the room where you spend the most time or where the air-quality concern originates. Keep the lower air intake and upper 360-degree outlet unobstructed, and connect it to a grounded 110–120V outlet. Continuous low-speed operation supports routine air-quality maintenance; increase the speed when particle or odor levels rise.

  • Use one unit in the primary room or open area you want to address.
  • Keep it out of enclosed cabinets and away from objects that block airflow.
  • For multiple closed rooms, use a separate appropriately sized purifier or move the unit as needed.

How the filtration system works

  1. A vacuumable poly prefilter captures larger airborne debris before it reaches the main filters.
  2. An 8 lb activated coconut-shell carbon filter adsorbs everyday gases, chemicals, and odors.
