Airpura G700DLX air purifier with 26 lb German carbon for chemicals, gases and odors

The Airpura G700DLX German Carbon Air Purifier combines a deep bed of premium German sourced activated carbon with a HEPA Barrier particle filter. Its 26 lb carbon filter is designed for chemical, gas and odor adsorption, with odor free carbon for spaces where the smell of the filtration media is a concern.

Best suited for: homes, offices and workspaces with airborne chemical, VOC and odor concerns where odor free carbon is a priority. Suggested coverage is up to 2,500 sq. ft. at two air changes per hour with 8 foot ceilings.

What this air purifier is used for

The G700DLX prioritizes substantial carbon capacity for airborne chemicals, gases and odors. Its HEPA Barrier provides particle filtration with 95% efficiency at 1 micron. Select this configuration when carbon filtration is the main priority; the HEPA Barrier has a different particle filtration rating from a True HEPA filter.

Where to place it

Place the freestanding purifier upright in the room where air cleaning is needed, with the intake and air outlet unobstructed. Casters make repositioning easier, and the variable speed control lets you adjust airflow for the room and operating conditions.

Use with appropriate ventilation and source control. Ensure the purifier is switched off before plugging it into a grounded outlet.

How the filtration system works

  1. A vacuumable poly prefilter captures larger particulate matter.
  2. A 26 lb German sourced activated carbon filter in a 3 inch bed adsorbs airborne chemicals, gases and odors.
  3. A HEPA Barrier provides particle filtration with 95% efficiency at 1 micron.

Electrical safety certification

The G700DLX user manual lists ETL certification number 3067330 and the electrical safety standards UL 507 and CSA C22.2 #113.

Getting started and everyday use

  1. Inspect the exterior for shipping damage and wipe away packaging dust with a damp cloth.
  2. Keep the control switched off while plugging into a grounded outlet matching the voltage on your unit’s label.
  3. Switch on and run at maximum for at least 30 minutes, then choose the operating speed.
  4. For regular air quality maintenance, use continuous operation at a low speed. Adjust the speed as conditions require.

Keep indoor relative humidity around 40%. Excessive humidity can affect carbon performance. When using a dehumidifier, keep it at least 6 feet from the purifier.

Cleaning and filter replacement

Switch off and unplug before cleaning. Use your vacuum’s brush attachment to clean the prefilter through the outside grille, moving slowly around the mesh surface. Clean monthly or more often when needed.

Replacing the carbon and particle filters
  1. Switch off and unplug the purifier. Support the unit securely while turning it over to access the base.
  2. Remove the four retaining screws, lift off the bottom cover and set aside the upper felt gasket. Keep the screws and gaskets for reassembly.
  3. Remove the filters being replaced, noting the positions of the remaining filters and gaskets.
  4. Place the lower felt gasket flat at the bottom of the chamber and position the outer prefilter or TarBarrier against the chamber wall.
  5. Roll the filter slider into a spiral, insert it inside the outer filter and open its top into a slight funnel.
  6. Hold the correct carbon canister straight and lower it through the slider. Lift the slider out with both hands, allowing the canister to settle at the bottom. Remove and retain the slider.
  7. Insert the correct True HEPA or HEPA Barrier assembly inside the carbon canister. Retain any fitted particle wrap and its securing bands in their original positions.
  8. Replace the upper felt gasket. Align the indentation in the bottom cover with the center of the particle filter, refit the cover and tighten all four screws.
  9. Return the purifier upright. Reconnect power only after the filter chamber is closed, with the control switched off before plugging in.
