  • Salt-Free OnliSoft Conditioner – Uses Seed Assisted Crystallization (SAC) technology to help reduce scale buildup without salt, chemicals, or routine media replacement. OnliSoft is a maintenance-free media designed to prevent scale build-up by transforming hardness molecules into harmless minerals that no longer cling to household and appliance plumbing surfaces. This is accomplished without adding anything to the water, such as salt, acids, or any other chemicals. The OnliSoft media is non-absorbent and will work for a lifetime. This means that there are no replacements or maintenance required.

  • Salt-Based Water Softener – Removes hardness minerals that contribute to scale buildup while improving soap efficiency and helping protect plumbing and appliances. Soft water not only delivers greater washing power but it also reduces the amount of soap you need to use by up to 70%. How Lead Affects Adults

There is no safe level of lead for the human body, and unlike other metals, it has no useful biological function. Even low concentrations of lead in the water can cause a significant increase in blood lead levels, and any damage is irreversible.

Lead is a potent neurotoxin, and it has significant effects on childhood health and development. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that lead exposure can affect nearly every system in a child's body, inhibiting the growth of both physical and mental abilities.

What are PFOS and PFOA?

PFOS and PFOA are human-made compounds that do not occur naturally in the environment. They are fluorinated compounds that repel oil and water. PFOS and PFOA are used in a variety of industrial and consumer products, such as carpet and clothing treatments and firefighting foams. PFOS and PFOA are the two PFASs that are being produced in the largest amounts within the United States. They are extremely persistent in the environment and are resistant to most chemicals and microbial conventional treatment technologies. They are known to bioaccumulate in humans and wildlife.

How do you get exposed to PFOS and PFOA?

PFOS and PFOA are readily absorbed through oral exposure. Potential ways of exposure include ingestion of food and water, use of consumer products or inhalation of particulate matter containing PFAS. PFOA and PFOS have been found in drinking water supplies, typically associated with industrial use, manufacturing locations, or disposal. The EPA has not issued a Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for drinking water.

What are the health effects of PFOS and PFOA?

Human Epidemiological studies found links between PFOA exposure and high cholesterol, increased liver enzymes, thyroid disorders, pregnancy-induced hypertension, decreased vaccination response, preeclampsia, and cancer. Human epidemiological research found associations between PFOS exposure and high cholesterol and adverse reproductive and developmental effects.

Soluble/Ionic lead

Invisible, odorless, and tasteless, soluble/ionic lead requires a chemical removal process to be eliminated from the water. RKIN binders produce a chemical reaction with soluble lead, which creates an ionic bond, kinetically removing lead from the water.

Particulate lead

Granular and similar in size to tiny grains of sand, particulate lead is often a result of lead pipe corrosion and needs to be physically removed from the water. RKIN's lead filter works at a 0.5-micron filtration level and is specifically engineered to remove lead particles from the water physically.
