How the Hybrid UF + RO System Works
Stage 1: SHARP UltraFiltration (UF)
The first layer of protection is a 0.02-micron UltraFiltration membrane that helps reduce:
- Sediment and suspended solids
- Dirt, rust, and debris
- Many microorganisms
- Total Suspended Solids (TSS)
By removing these larger particles first, the UF membrane acts as a protective pre-filter that helps extend the life and efficiency of the Reverse Osmosis membrane.
Stage 2: Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Water then passes through the advanced RO membrane, which provides deeper purification by helping reduce:
- Dissolved solids (TDS)
