SHARP UltraFiltration (UF) + Reverse Osmosis (RO) Technology
The Crystal QuestĀ® SHARP UF system combines UltraFiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) to provide multiple layers of water purification for cleaner, better-tasting water.
UltraFiltration (UF) uses a 0.02-micron membrane to help reduce sediment, suspended solids, and many microorganisms without producing wastewater. This stage acts as a highly efficient pre-filter, helping improve water quality while protecting the RO membrane.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) then provides deeper purification by reducing dissolved contaminants, water hardness, heavy metals, fluoride, nitrates, and other impurities that standard filtration may leave behind. During this process, contaminants are flushed away through the drain line, resulting in highly purified drinking water.
