Airpura I700 True HEPA Air Purifier

The Airpura I700 True HEPA Air Purifier uses an extra large 100 sq. ft. True HEPA filter for airborne dust, pollen, dander and mold spores, with a choice of configurations with or without UV light.

Best suited for: Homes and offices prioritizing airborne particle filtration.

Why choose this model

Choose the I700 when airborne particle filtration is the priority and gas or odor filtration is not needed. The R700 adds activated carbon for odors and chemicals, while the UV700 combines True HEPA and carbon with an enclosed UV-C stage.

Choose your configuration

Choose Without UV light for particle filtration or With UV light for an added UV stage. Neither configuration includes a carbon filter for gas and odor adsorption.

Suggested coverage depends on room height, layout, airflow setting and indoor conditions. Use appropriate ventilation and source control alongside air cleaning.

Getting started and everyday use

  1. Inspect the exterior for shipping damage and wipe away packaging dust with a damp cloth.
  2. Place upright with the intake and outlet unobstructed. Keep the control switched off while plugging into a grounded outlet matching the voltage on the unit’s label.
  3. Switch on and run at maximum speed for at least 30 minutes, then select your operating speed.
  4. For regular air quality maintenance, run continuously at a low speed and adjust as conditions require.

Filter maintenance

Replacement intervals are guidelines from the current user manual. Actual filter life depends on use and indoor conditions.

Cleaning and filter replacement

Switch off and unplug before cleaning. Use your vacuum’s brush attachment to clean the prefilter through the outside grille, moving slowly around the mesh surface. Clean monthly or more often when needed.

Replacing the True HEPA filter
  1. Switch off and unplug. Support the purifier securely while turning it over to access its base.
  2. Remove the four retaining screws, lift off the bottom cover and remove the upper felt gasket. Keep the screws and gasket for reassembly.
  3. Lift out the filters being replaced, noting their positions. Position the prefilter against the filter chamber wall and place the lower felt gasket flat at the bottom.
  4. Lower the extra large True HEPA filter into the chamber.
  5. Replace the upper felt gasket. Align the indentation in the bottom cover with the center of the particle filter, replace and tighten all four screws, then return the purifier upright.
  6. Keep the switch off while reconnecting power.

For the optional UV configuration, switch off and unplug before servicing and keep the chamber closed during operation. The I700 manual does not specify a replacement interval for the optional UV lamp.

Electrical safety certification

The I700 user manual lists ETL certification number 3067330 and the electrical safety standards UL 507 and CSA C22.2 #113.
